Nathan Fanton, LICSW
Psychotherapist & Forensic Social Worker
I’m Nathan Fanton, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker based in Manchester-by-the-Sea. I founded my practice to create a space where people can explore what’s beneath their patterns and begin building a life that feels more connected, secure, and authentic.
I work with children, adults, and couples navigating attachment disorders, relationship challenges, gender identity and sexuality, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My style is warm, conversational, and direct. I believe therapy should feel like a real dialogue that helps you see yourself and your relationships more clearly.
As an adoptee from Romania, I bring a personal understanding of identity, loss, and belonging that informs my clinical work. That lived experience gives me special insight into the inner world of adopted children, adults, and the family as a whole. It also gives me insight for those struggling with attachment disorders or questions of connection and trust.
Alongside my clinical work, I’m also a forensic social worker, providing evaluations, consultation, and expert services for individuals and families involved in the court system. This dual perspective allows me to bridge the gap between emotional understanding and practical realities, helping clients find clarity even in complex circumstances.
I approach every client with curiosity, respect, and an understanding that healing rarely moves in a straight line, but with the right support, it always moves forward. If you’re ready to begin that process, I’d be glad to meet with you and learn more about your story.
