My Services

Every person and family comes to therapy with their own story, history, and goals. This is a few of my services and specialties I work with.

Individual Therapy

I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating emotional, relational, and identity challenges. I enjoy working with kids who are coping with life stressors such as family changes, school difficulties, or struggles with confidence and connection. With adults, my work often focuses on anxiety, depression, and the impact of early experiences on current relationships and self-understanding.

I also have a special interest in supporting individuals exploring questions of gender identity and sexuality, helping them build a sense of comfort, authenticity, and self-acceptance. My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. Together, we work toward insight, emotional stability, and a stronger sense of self.

Couples Therapy

Relationships can be both our greatest source of comfort and our most painful struggle. I work with couples who are facing challenges such as conflict, communication breakdowns, emotional distance, or difficulty rebuilding trust after a rupture. Whether you’re trying to repair your relationship, strengthen your connection, or gain clarity about next steps, therapy offers a space to slow down and really understand what’s happening between you.

My approach helps each partner recognize underlying patterns, improve communication, and reconnect in more secure and supportive ways. I draw on attachment-based principles to help couples move from blame and defensiveness toward empathy, understanding, and genuine connection. Together, we work toward creating a relationship that feels safe, balanced, and emotionally fulfilling.

Attachment and Adoption Support

Our early experiences shape how we connect, trust, and experience safety in relationships. When those early bonds are inconsistent or disrupted, it can lead to patterns that affect how we relate to ourselves and others later in life. I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are exploring adoption-related identity, difficulties with attachment, or struggles to form and maintain meaningful relationships.

As an adoptee from Romania, I bring both personal understanding and clinical expertise to this work. Therapy focuses on helping clients make sense of their stories, understand how early experiences influence current relationships, and build more secure, stable ways of connecting. This work can be deeply healing for those seeking to understand who they are and how to feel safely connected to others.

Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD)

Parenting a child with Reactive Attachment Disorder can feel confusing, isolating, and exhausting. You may find that no matter how much love, patience, or structure you give, your child still struggles to trust, connect, or show affection. Outbursts, defiance, emotional withdrawal, or control struggles can leave even the most dedicated parents feeling defeated and unsure where to turn.

Reactive Attachment Disorder develops when a child’s early experience of care and safety is disrupted, often through neglect, trauma, or multiple changes in caregivers. These early breaks in attachment can make it difficult for children to feel secure or rely on others, leading to behaviors that can be painful for everyone involved.

I work closely with families to help rebuild safety, consistency, and emotional connection. Therapy focuses on strengthening relationships, improving emotional regulation, and helping caregivers respond to challenging behaviors in ways that build trust rather than power struggles. My approach is structured, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care.

As both an adoptee and a clinician experienced with attachment disorders and court-involved families, I understand how complex this work can be. Together, we’ll focus on helping your child feel secure and helping you feel supported and empowered in the process.

Problematic Sexual Behavior and Sexual Offense Treatment

I provide specialized therapy for adolescents and adults who are struggling with sexual behaviors that have caused harm, risk, or distress. This includes individuals involved in the court system, those on probation or parole, and those seeking help voluntarily to understand and change their behavior.

My work focuses on helping clients identify the emotional, cognitive, and relational factors that contribute to problematic or offending sexual behavior. Through structured, evidence-informed treatment, clients learn to manage impulses, develop empathy, build healthy coping skills, and create safer, more meaningful relationships.

I approach this work with a balance of accountability and compassion. I believe that real change comes from understanding—not shame—and from learning how to take responsibility while rebuilding a sense of control and integrity.

For families and partners, I also offer support and guidance to help them navigate the impact of these behaviors, understand treatment goals, and promote safety and healing at home.

Forensic Social Work

Forensic social work sits at the intersection of mental health and the legal system. I provide evaluation, consultation, and clinical support for individuals and families involved in court matters, including custody disputes, care and protection cases, mitigation work, and mental health–related legal issues. My goal is to help courts, attorneys, and families gain a clear, balanced understanding of the psychological and social factors involved in complex cases.

Services include:

  • Guardian ad Litem (Category E) evaluations
  • Psychosocial and forensic evaluations
  • Mitigation reports for criminal and juvenile defense
  • Consultation with attorneys and social service agencies
  • Therapeutic support for clients involved in legal proceedings

In this work, I draw on years of experience conducting forensic assessments, writing court reports, and testifying as an expert witness. I approach every case with objectivity, empathy, and attention to both the human story and the legal context.

For clients, this may mean receiving therapeutic support while navigating a court process; for professionals, it may involve consultation, evaluation, or expert opinion. In all cases, my aim is to bring clarity, compassion, and professionalism to systems that are often overwhelming and deeply personal.
